YouTube Steps

Beats may be registered by the producer with YouTube's Content ID System. If your video is subject to an automatic Copyright Claim, as a holder of a registered SONG RECORDING LICENSE℠, you are entitled to dispute and seek removal of the claim. Please follow these steps to initiate the dispute process:

Step 1. Go to your YouTube channel (you must be logged in) and then visit: https://www.youtube.com/my_videos

Step 2. Find the applicable video being claimed and under the Restrictions column, visit "Copyright Claim" for that video. Then open the "See Details" link.

Step 3. Under Select Action ("Do you have rights to this content?"), click or visit the "Dispute" link.

Step 4. Under Confirm eligibility, select "My dispute isn't based on any of the reasons above. I would still like to dispute this Content ID claim."

Step 5. Under Select type, choose "License" (I have permission or a license to use the content claimed in my video) and continue on to the next page.

Step 6. Review requirements and select: "I have permission to use the content from the copyright owner."

Step 7. Under Provide rationale, you will see a text box, "Please include your license information below (required)". Here you may include the following message and edit accordingly:

Included is a copy of my 'SONG RECORDING LICENSE.' The PDF can be accessed at [Insert URL link to the PDF License for the specific beat, available in your account order history]. This document verifies my authorized use of the beat for creating a song with commercial rights. For further verification of my rights, please contact the copyright owner directly at: copyright@sinimabeats.com. I respectfully request the prompt removal of this invalid claim. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Check the applicable boxes and electronically sign.

Then submit your dispute and allow time for your dispute to be processed.

Please wait until the claim has been removed. In some rare cases, you may need to 'appeal' an invalid assertion of copyrights. If you have any issues that aren't being resolved, we recommend contacting copyright@youtube.com for assistance.
